Cordelia was finally about to enjoy herself for the first time in a long time. She had been training for the Quidditch match that was upcoming and Cordelia wasn't about to mess anything up since she knew that this year she was going to lead the Hufflepuff's to victory. Well, not necessarily Cordelia by herself, but she was going to make sure she was going to help out the others as well. She liked to consider herself as the co-captain of the team with all the help and advice she gave out. People did accept it, but maybe it was because they were Hufflepuffs and were just being nice to her. It was unlikely since the people who joined the team were more of the hardcore Hufflepuffs that knew to be agressive when they needed to be in a game. Plus she was close friends with the captain - Lillian Carmichael - so Cordelia felt like she was in good hands. Cordelia also couldn't help but think that soon Lillian would be graduating and Cordelia liked to think she would be the likely choice to be the next captain of the team. Sighing from the pleasant thought, Cordelia got up from her plush chair in the common room.
She was going to meet her best friend, Mia to go and have some fun. She wasn't exactly sure what they were actually going to do, but knowing how they usually found something to do, the girls would surprise themselves in the end. Taking the tunnel that led to the girls dormitories, Cordelia arrived in her dorm in no time. Waving to her other roommate, Cordelia dressed in some blue jeans and a white long sleeves shirt that had a few buttons at the top. Unbuttoning some so she could breath, Cordelia made sure the buttons hadn't revealed too much. She wasn't like that anymore and Cordelia was glad she had toned down the slutty behavior before it got out of hand. Slipping her feet into some moccasins, Cordelia was ready and began to walk to the place Mia and Cordelia decided on. It was close for Cordelia since the ground floor was about five or so minutes away, but for Mia who resided in the Ravenclaw Towers, well she had a bit longer to go than Cordelia.
Just like Cordelia predicted, it only took about five minutes to arrive in front of the Great Hall. Not many people were in the Great Hall since lunch had passed about an hour ago, so most of the people who were in the Great Hall were studying. Glancing inside, she saw most of the students were Ravenclaws. Smiling at the sight of the studious pupils, Cordelia got a glimpse of a few scattered Slytherins, Gryffindors, and Hufflepuffs. The sky in the Great Hall was clear, but knowing what the weather felt like outside from yesterday, Cordelia predicted it was a bit windy with the cold settling in as winter was arriving. Only a month away before Christmas break would come and Cordelia couldn't wait until she saw her father. She was finally going to tell him that she was serious about becoming a professional. Knowing that he would be pleased, she hoped that his Firebolt would become hers finally. Tearing her gaze away from the inside of the Great Hall, Cordelia began to look towards the stairs for Mia who would be descending the stairs. Well, Cordelia assumed that she would be, but Cordelia had been wrong before, so she continued to look around her for the familiar face.

Amelia walked down the staircase toward the great hall. She so wished it was mealtime. Indeed Mia had the uncanny habit to not eat properly during the school year as stess made her appetite deminish to a near non-existant level. However at this minute she was not feeling stressed so to her great displeasure she was feeling the effects of four days without a saficient meal. Her face showed it though as well. She was always not exactly the healthiest looking person being so thin, pale, and having darker hair but she looked even worse than normal. She could feel the bags forming under her eyes and she very well knew her hair lacked the usual shine it had when she was eating properly, sleeping enough, getting enough excercie, and drinking enough water. However she was not so lucky to find a meal at the great hall but a certian someone did catch her attention. She saw her best friend, Cordelia in her casual but very cute outfit. Mia looked down, she was still in her robes. No matter, she waved her wand and her frumpy, Ravenclaw robes quickly became a soft yellow v-neck t-shirt, a pair of flared jeans with distress around the knees and a pair of silver flats.
She was so looking foreword for this time out, which she had forgotten about until the previous minute. She walked further down the staircase. She hoped the yellow in her shirt would make her skin look less dull and therefore make her just a tad healthier looking. She put a smile on her face. It was her first genuine smile in a long time. She had not hung out with Cordelia in the longest time and she always was thankful that her friend was a typical Hufflepuff and had always been able to make her day. Frankly, she felt that she had so much on her plate that if she didn't have Cordelia to vent to, she would have lost her mind a very long time ago. She noticed something though. Cordelia had not seen her. She then tried to hide behind two, tall Slytherin seventh years. She crept behind them and frankly she did not care about the looks she earned.
She walked down the side of the staircase and stayed on her toes. Oh she was going to scare her. She could barely hold in her giggles about how her best girlfriend since almost before first year would react. Mia, based off of looks, almost looked sly or sneaky. However, in reality she was clumsy and not the least bit sneaky. She said that was probably the number one reason why she was not placed in Slytherin house. Her family had been divided among houses for over five hundred years. Half of the Selwyns were more than likely Slytherin, a fourth were probably Ravenclaws and the last fourth was divided among Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors. She reached the bottom of the staircase. She saw a first year standing in front of her best friend that gave her a wierd look. She put one finger to her mouth so she could sneak up on her. She made her move, running a quick few steps and jumping onto her friends back. "Hey Delia," She said with a smile running across her face. "Miss me?"
ooc. thanks for starting this thread, and sorry for the late reply but I was on vacation!

Cordelia began to tap her fingers against her her pants. Softly humming a song to herself to keep herself busy, Cordelia kept scanning the area for the woman. Exhaling for no apparent reason, Cordelia continued to hum. The bell rang for class to be dismissed and Cordelia's mouth opened slightly out of disbelief. How the hell was she supposed to search for her best friend in this crowd? Sticking her ground and trying not to move from her spot as people starting coming towards her, she was shouldered a couple of times - no doubt by Slytherins - but Cordelia had to work extra hard to pick out the dark haired girl she was meeting with. Hopefully the students would disperse by the time Amelia arrived. Doubting it, Amelia should be here any minute by now. Tapping her foot by now, Cordelia was growing slightly impatient. She was a patient person generally, but this crowd wasn't helping. She had always been slightly claustrophobic and crowds did not help this at all. It wasn't a serious case of claustrophobia, but Cordelia liked her space which was one of the many reasons she loved to fly.
A first year had stopped in front of her and she was about to tell the boy that staring was considered rude to most people, but the face he was making made her feel self-conscious. Sure the kid was a first year and she was a sixth year, but he looked like he was seeing something that didn't belong to her body. Now that she studied where the kid's eyes were looking, he wasn't looking at her, but something behind her. Her eyes widened in fear for a split second, thinking it was one of those big, burly Slytherin seventh year boys that she pissed off earlier in the year. How does a Hufflepuff make a Slytherin angry do you ask? Well besides from Cordelia not being the typical Hufflepuff, she punched the Slytherin Beater in the nose. He was teasing her about not being as good as he was since she was a stupid Hufflepuff. Having siblings in Gryffindor had come in handy a few times and that moment was no different. She let her fury take over her and she simply punched his nose and called him a few names nobody should really use. It wasn't all gallant since Cordelia had run away so she herself wouldn't be punched to a pulp. Had they decided to confront her in public to humiliate her? Closing her eyes for a brief second, Cordelia was about to turn on her heel and pull on a brave face.
Before she could do such a thing, someone jumped her from behind. A surge of fear rushed through her. Staggering with the lightweight body on her back, Cordelia caught herself from falling. The body wasn't as heavy as she thought it was going to be and she knew that certainly that this person who jumped her wasn't someone to fear. "Hey Delia." an all too familiar voice rung through her ears. Just as the surge of fear rushed through her, a sigh of relief let her relax, knowing that Amelia Selwyn had finally arrived without Cordelia seeing her do so. "Miss you? I was about to send out a search party!"
Cordelia joked as she turned her head slightly to try to look at Amelia. Hooking her arms around Amelia's legs, Cordelia hitched her best friend higher onto her back. "Hang on. I can't stand this post-class crowd." Cordelia explained. Knowing very well her friend could walk, Cordelia didn't want to have to wait any longer to find a slightly empty spot so they didn't have to dodge people to talk. Finding the opposite wall and out of range of the students, Cordelia let Amelia down. She finally got a good look at her in her yellow shirt and jeans. "You should really sleep some more. It's starting to show." Cordelia joked a bit as she playfully crossed her arms as she acted motherly.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Mia looked up at the ceiling. She had been super thankful for that first year, although he was sufficiently awkward- he did make a picture perfect distraction. After Delia walked across the first floor landing, she hopped off of her best friends back, making a subconscious brushing motion as she did so. “Well, Well, Well,” She smiled at her best friend. “It seems that I am right on time.” She said with a smirk on her face. Of course Mia’s watch always ran a little slow. She had an intended purpose for that and frankly it was moments like this where it came in handy. She smiled at her friend “Search Party?” She said mockingly appalled at her friend’s suggestion. “I hardly think that is necessary, Delia.” She said with a smirk. Okay maybe there were a couple times when she was 11 that a search party would have been warranted and appreciated on the young girl’s part. “Nah just running from my room to here is a killer workout.” She said pretending to be out of breath. She figured that her friend would make a joke about her, being on a rival team, was not being worked hard enough by their captain. That was hardly the case. Mia just had a knack for letting time slip away from her. She looked at her friend. “Sorry for all of the theatrics darling, I just wanted to make sure you stayed on your toes.” She said with a smirk, she was half-serious though. It was always something Mia loved to do, keep people guessing. “Well I do believe that we have a hangout date scheduled for the present moment.” She said with a smirk. “Oh and I have loads to tell you.” She said with a tint of pink mischievously rising in her cheeks.
Then topics turned to Amelia’s exhausted appearance. “Crimany, is it that obvious?” She asked slightly worried that she looked worse than she actually did. “Ugh, seriously I have maybe gotten three hours for the past four nights. Too much homework and far too much on my mind.” She said with a tone of seriousness. She rubbed her temples to try and make what she was feeling go away for a bit when in actuality it only provoked a headache lying in wait. She didn’t let on at all though. “Delia, just don ‘t worry about me.” She said touching her best friends arm. Mia loved Delia, she really did but sometimes she seemed to be a more attentive mother than Mia’s own mother. “Now let’s think about today? Oh wait, how have your practices been?” She asked curiously it would be interesting to see how Delia’s team prepared for the cup. She thought about all the runs she had been taking in the morning to try and work on her physique so that she was in tip top competition mode. She looked at her friend, really taking in her appearance. “Side note but looking good D.” She said with a smirk. Amelia was rarely if ever, random. However when she was around her best friend, random could have been her middle name
“Alright so what do you want to do?” She asked curiously. “It seems as if it has been far too long since I have seen and/or hung out with you.” She said with a smile. With both of them being in their second to last year, things in their life had gotten slightly crazy. “How are your first years treating you?” She asked concerned. Of all of the places one could end up- ending up with Cordelia and her crowd was probably the nicest place. It had been one of Mia’s top concerns, being a prefect and all, of how the first years were adjusting to their new life.

Cordelia couldn't wait for whatever Mia was going to tell her. She sounded like she has some juicy information and Cordelia couldn't wait. She lived for these things! Well, not exactly. It was only an expression since Cordelia lived for Quidditch, not gossip. "Well that's why I love you silly! Otherwise our beautiful friendship would become boring and then who knows what!" Cordelia explained as she raised her arms in exclamation at the last part. The smirk on the girl's face look devious and Cordelia had a sudden urge to rub her hands together evilly to set the mood. Knowing that it would be ridiculous to do so, Cordelia couldn't help but have that knowing smile run across her face knowing that if Amelia had something to tell her, that it must be good. It was a good thing Cordelia was patient or she wouldn't have let Amelia run on the conversation about her being tired, but she did. Mia always worked way too hard and that was something Cordelia didn't have with her school classes. She admired her Ravenclaw friend for that and sometimes wondered if she tried harder in school if she would ever by like her best friend. Probably not since Cordelia was only good at Quidditch and the occasional Arthimacy class.
Cordelia tried to remember how many classes Mia was taking, but she figured it was at least five or so classes this year. It was more than Cordelia was taking which numbered at three ( her parents weren't too happy about this, but Cordelia would explain in due time when Christmas break came ). Before Cordelia could even answer or question further about her situation, Mia told her to just stop worrying about her. Stop worrying?! Cordelia sighed at the statement. Being a Hufflepuff came with the worry factor. It was one of the few traits she had connected to her house besides being too nice to everybody - minus the many Slytherins. Although not all of them were bad. She didn't mind Albus Potter and occasionally Addison Bludd, but he was far too annoying to even like as a friend. The conversation was quickly changed to Quidditch and Cordelia's eyes lit up. "Oh they've been alright I guess. Being the Hufflepuff team and all, it's hard to get them agressive. Lilly Patil and I have been busting our asses off to get the others in shape." Cordelia told her truthfully. "What about your team? I hear Ravenclaw and Gryffindor are playing against each other for the first game." Cordelia added. Frankly, Cordelia couldn't wait for the first game. The first game of the season was always the most exciting since it was a time to see what team has changed for the better or worse. It was crucial to pay attention to decide who would be the competition and who would be a piece of cake to play against. Cordelia hoped to Merlin that Hufflepuff wouldn't be the cake team of the season like they were last year when they lost every game.
The conversation was all over the place as soon as Amelia commented on how she was looking good. Winking at her, Cordelia took in Mia's appearance as well: yellow v-neck, ripped jeans and silver flats. "You too, girl! Lovin' the shoes." Cordelia mentioned as she stared at the shoes. She was still staring at the shoes when Mia spoke up again. Well, it wasn't raining anymore, thankfully. The damn rain flooded most of the Hufflepuff common room and dorms which Cordelia was not happy about. It was taken care of now, but she was just glad the rain was done. "Uh....not outside. The weather looks a bit cold. Well you did say you had something to tell me so maybe we could just find a place to talk? Doubt the Great Hall would be a good place since it's too quiet." Cordelia began to list off the places where they shouldn't go. She forgot to think of what they might do once they met up. "Well the first years look tinier than last year. Most of them are skittish and too shy. They'll warm up though like every Hufflepuff does." Cordelia rolled her eyes as she explained her first years. "Any of your's geniuses? Cordelia joked.

Amelia quickly hugged her best friend. She needed a friend right now. She knew that Delia knew about the arranged marriage. She and Ben D'eath as well as her sister were the only ones that did. She was so happy. As of lately she had been hanging out with Nyx MacMillian but things seemed to just click between the two of them. She looked at Delia just almost unable to wait to tell her but she knew her friend would likely be thrilled for her. She loved talking about boys as she was one of the more boy crazy girls in her year but very few people knew it. Truth be told that ever since Tori Abercrombie ripped her hair out at the Halloween ball, she had avoided dating in public places. The thing Mia loved about Delia was that she was rarely phased by trivial gossip and usually Mia was the same way however in the past when she did not listen to the whispers about Ben and Tori, it didn't exactly work in her favor.
"Qudditch is tiring. Why on earth did I do this again?" She asked sarcastically. Everyone knew that Mia was addicted to the art of flying and she would never stop flying. She thought of someday her and Nyx flying around on a broomstick. The dizzying daydreams danced in front of her eyes with visions of the handsome boy with large blue eyes that were almost as outstanding as Amelia's. She listened to her friend talk about the Hufflepuff team. She laughed slightly, of course they would have issues getting aggressive. Heck she could barely get her team to stop formulating plays. "Must be frustrating for you," She said with a half smile. She knew of Delia's father and well quidditch was a family affair. "Yeah we are going to give the ginger squad a piece of what we can do." She said with a smile, making fun of the Weasley clan, who made up like two-thirds of the team. Mia thought about it and she smiled. "That means Hufflepuff and Slytherin would probably be the second match. Should be fun." She smirked. The sweetest house in the school going up against a team with infamous names such as Avery, Greyback, Bludd and Crabbe.
When they were talking about the where of where this hangout date Amelia thought about it. "Yeah everyone would hear our business and the last thing I need is my little sister hearing what I have to tell you. Anywhere but the Great Hall is good. " She said mischeviously. Mia sighed. She knew the beautiful days of summer had come to an end for another nine months and now the grounds were wet and cold. Not a stellar combination for the fragile looking witch as she seemed as if she could break if someone as much as touched her. However most of her friends knew that as a child she was sickly and although her health had returned before she left for the first year of Hogwarts. Her looks just hold onto the history of disease. "Oh what cute little awkward first years." She said with a smile. "It seems that old school genius of Ravenclaw got exchanged for sarcastic genius. Some of them seem more smart-alec than anything." She said rolling her eyes.

Even though they weren't in their seventh year yet, sixth year had to be just as hard for some people than their fifth year. She pitied those who had six or more classes who spent all their time trying to keep their grades up. Luckily for Cordelia, she wasn't one of those smart kids who spent their time filling their brain with knowledge. She had gotten over the fact that she wasn't smart in her fifth year, but she wondered if she had tried a little harder, maybe she would be in a different position now. Wandering the halls would be eliminated since she would be in class. Amelia on the other hand had little time to herself it seemed. Poor little Mia, Cordelia thought as the two hugged. It wasn't just school either that Mia was going through. Her parents were a little nuts to make her go through an arranged marriage. Now Cordelia was never in the loop for gossip, but she did know that her supposed future husband was in love with someone else. If Cordelia was Mia, she'd cry every night knowing that she'd be marrying someone who loved someone else. God she was glad her life wasn't so complicated. Plus she was on the Quidditch team. This girl was way too involved. Well, the Quidditch part Cordelia didn't mind since they shared that same interest. With the upcoming first game, Amelia would be cheering on Amelia in the crowd. Well, Cordelia had friends on both teams so she guessed she would be cheering for both teams. Changing her mind once more, she decided she would cheer for Amelia the most and the loudest. She was her best friend after all. She was sure Mia would do the same for her.
"Dear god. It's insane how much red is on that team. But make sure you show those Weasley's who's boss. I'd much rather you beat them. Because if my team doesn't get far, I want Ravenclaw to win this year." Cordelia explained. She sure hoped Hufflepuff would get far, but Hufflepuff hadn't done very well in awhile and she wasn't sure when the bad streak would end. Cordelia wasn't trying to be a negative nancy, it's just that she was a Hufflepuff. As the topic changed over to their first years and when Mia described her first years, Cordelia rolled her eyes. Great, more little kids who thought they were the shit. "Merlin, I sure hope that they grow out of that stage." Cordelia said with a grimace.
Just then she thought of a place they could talk freely without anybody overhearing them: the kitchens. Grabbing Mia's hand, she began to pull her towards the painting that would lead them into the house-elf filled room. "I know the perfect place. It's full of loud noises all the time, so we won't be overheard." Cordelia explained. Since they were on the ground floor, it didn't take long to head over to the Kitchens. Stopping in front of the entrance. Cordelia let go of Amelia's hand and looked up to the painting. She reached her hand up to the pear and tickled it to reveal the door to the kitchens. "Alright. The elves and I are tight. They won't tell a soul what they hear." Cordelia explained to Amelia. Being a Hufflepuff did have its advantages. Having the kitchens nearby meant frequent visits to the Kitchens. She was in here at least once everyday. It wasn't Cordelia's fault she liked to eat all the time. All the physical work from Quidditch practices made her so hungry! Cordelia could stand it any longer. She had to know what Amelia was going to tell her. "Alright. Out with it woman!" Cordelia pleaded. "Please." she added for a more polite effect. She made sure to add her sweet smile to it too.

Amelia smiled at Delia. The girl was the best friend she had and she thanked Merlin for that daily. She had a tendency to be over dramatic, however, Delia was always quite sympathetic toward her and just let her vent. She always loved Delia so much because of her just treating Amelia like a normal person. Her parent's saw her as a means to advance the family's standing. Men tended to see her as an unattainable trophy. Women saw her as competition. Younger students saw her as Little Miss Perfect, a role model, or that annoying prefect who confiscated my Weasley Wizarding Wheezes goods. Delia though, saw Amelia. Nothing more nothing less. She cared about Amelia, not her family (although she had her best friend over for at least a week in the summer, Mia's favorite week because she was allowed to leave the manor on occasion), not her quidditch skills, not her prefect status, or anything. Amelia looked at Delia "D, you know I love you right," she said pulling back from the hug. Although Mia had a sister, Delia was much more of a sister to her.
"The gingers are overtaking the world in that house." She said solemnly. "We have Vi Weasley on our team but she is more of a strawberry-ish type. She is such a sweetie, it is a shame about her hearing. However she did not miss a beat at practice ever." She said truthfully. It was impressive the girl's resilience. Then as the topic turned to first years. Amelia rolled her eyes slightly. "Oh they will grow out of that phase, I will be certain to make sure of that." She said sarcastically. Mia's family was known for being very dark however, Amelia would never turn to dark magic per say to take care of them. Rather she would turn to defensive spells and the confiscation of wands. She thought of one of the first years in particular reacting to that. "Actually on second thought I will take the awkward as all get out, Hufflepuff first years. Want to trade?" She asked sarcastically quirking an eyebrow.
When Delia spoke of a place where they would not be heard she smiled. "Perfect." She said honestly. Amelia thought to herself how much bad could come to her and the person she was going to talk about if anyone other than Delia found out. As they walked they stopped at a portrait of fruit. Just when Mia was going to ask what they were doing here, Delia opened it. She stood in awe. Had she really gone six years without visiting the kitchens? Well it probably was more normal for Cordelia since she knew that her common room was somewhere near here whereas Mia's was almost a fifteen minute walk through the castle. "Good Idea," she said slightly in awe. Then as Delia mentioned the house elves, one came up to her and asked if she would like anything. "Just a hot chocolate for me please." She said with a smile. Then Delia demanded Mia to out what she was thinking of. "Well it involves a boy, a Ravenclaw sixth year, but he is not a pureblood." She said with a devilish smile coming to her face.

Cordelia cold feel the warmth swarm her face. Her family wasn't that close and Cordelia relied on her friends. The only person she really liked in her family was her parents. Usually people didn't like their parents when they were teenagers, but Cordelia was inspired by her parents. They were both Quidditch players in the past and Cordelia got everything from them. She loved her father more than her mother, but that's because her dad was her role model. She wanted a spread in the Quidditch magazine her father read about how the daughter of the famous Puddlemore keeper was walking in his steps. She had seen a son and father in that magazine once when she was younger. The son and father were playing on the same team together: the father being the Chaser and the son being the Seeker since he was a shrimp of a man. Of course Cordelia would never be able to play Quidditch with her dad on the same professional team, but Cordelia wanted her story to be heard by millions. It sounded selfish, but Quidditch players were famous and when their sons and/or daughters were doing what they had done, usually people made it a big deal. Cordelia may be a Hufflepuff and on the worst team ever, but she was determined. She was sure of it. "Thanks hun. I love you too." she said with a wink.
She was glad for the topic change since blushing felt awkward for Cordelia. Gingers. Those were easy to talk about since Cordelia had quite a bit to say about them. "Dude, Violet Weasley may be a Ravenclaw, but she's a Gryffindor at heart. She's been so brave with her whole situation." Cordelia said with all seriousness. First, the werewolf bite and then losing her hearing. Cordelia couldn't even imagine losing her hearing. It would be so hard to play Quidditch since most of it consists of hearing shouts, bludgers whizzing by and the cheers. Cordelia felt a pang of extreme sadness for Violet. Cordelia would try to make a point to go and visit her to tell her how much of an inspiration she was. Playing Quidditch while deaf? That was something, plus they won the game! "But there aren't any Harry Potter's thank merlin. But you can totally have my first years. I think snarky eleven year olds could spice up the common room a bit." Cordelia said with a laugh. It would be interesting seeing the reaction of older Hufflepuffs to the smart-assed first years. Usually everybody was used to the quiet first years that didn't bother anybody except people their age. Of course they'd get comfortable after winter break.
When they were in the Kitchens, Cordelia asked for a hot chocolate as well after hearing what Mia asked for. Hot chocolate sounded perfect in the cold weather they were having. As soon as Mia spoke up about what she had to say, Cordelia fixed her eyes on her best friend. She was finally going to hear the news ( gossip? ). A boy? Ravenclaw? Sixth year? Not pureblood? There were only a few guys that she knew that were what Mia described: Van, Ben, Milo, and some other kid. Was she going to talk about Ben? Cordelia pretty much knew the whole general story, bu Cordelia was always willing to listen to Amelia's poor situation. Or perhaps she had found out about Van? Oh no...Cordelia thought. She had only told one person about that, but then again, Cordelia could be very obvious about boys sometimes. "Hmmm, I wonder who that could be." Cordelia wondered as she stroked the invisible bread on her chin.

Mia looked at her friend. "Aw thanks." She smiled while a little bit of warmth rising to her cheeks. She loved D, and there were times where Mia had no idea what she would do without her best friend. She remembered when she first heard of the arranged marriage and she immediately wrote her best friend. Amelia was a case and Delia put up with her. It was more than Mia could say about most of her friends. When they heard their friend would be married soon after school to a pureblood, assumable cruel, boy- most ran away in terror of what she would become- a pureblood wife. Something Amelia feared more than anything. Usually it was not a young girl's boggart to see herself in a wedding dress. However, Mia knew that she did not want that, a good number of pureblood girls didn't get this but Delia did so Mia was very grateful. "I mean it though, I know sometimes I can get very wearing between not being around much or having family issues, but you are the best of the Hufflepuffs who are some of the best of people." She said with a smile.
When the topic turned to Violet Weasley. "Seriously. She isn't even a keeper, like she has no idea where the bludgers are and she doesn't even face the field a lot of the time. That is bravery." She concurred with her friend. "We are very grateful to have her." She said truthfully. "Glad to know that you don't have any exceedingly famous wizards in your house Delia." She joked, knowing very well she was referring to Harry's etch-a-sketch behavior in school. That boy probably broke more rules than any student to date. Mia knew the in's and out's of the rulebook as she spent the summer before her fifth year memorizing the rules to make sure she could due her job properly. She was just so excited as it was the first thing she really got excited about that summer. Other than that it was a typical three months locked into the manor.
Then the talk turned to Mia's juiciest piece of gossip to date. Yeah this boy was definitely not what Mia's parents had in mind. Nyx McMillian was the son of a man who broke years of family pureblood tradition. Mia knew this because when she was at home over the summers she studied the blood lineage of other pureblood families like hers. She noticed one that was particularly odd that ended with a man named Ernie. From what Mia knew now she assumed it was his father. "His name is Pheonyx or Nyx." She said with a smile. "We were in the room of requirement the other day and I could just feel the electricity between us." She said as she felt the chills run up her spine. This was definitely a coffee/hot chocolate date they would remember.
