Tonight was the night Cordelia was going to go out and take a nice nighttime stroll through the castle. She had planned this on monday during a Transfiguration class that was particularly boring. Her usual daydreaming kicked in and she began to think of what she could do on her friday night? She didn't have any plans so far and decided to let Amelia catch up on her sleep instead of making her more sleep deprived. She worried about that girl. Cordelia loved her sleep and knew that when she didn't get enough she snapped at everybody, no matter who you were. She had been laying in bed waiting for the dorm to quiet down, but then Cordelia forgot that it was Friday. It was the freakin' weekend and people were going to stay up late and the rest of the small percentage were going to catch up on sleep. Sleep sheemp, Cordelia didn't work that hard to need more sleep.
Bouncing out of her bed, she dashed down to the Hufflepuff common room and stopped just outside the entrance to the girls dormitories. Scanning the room with slightly lowered lids, Cordelia tried to pick a victim to join her. It was already eleven at night which wasn't her ideal nighttime stroll time, but she'd have to make it work. Her eyes landed on a couple of fifth years and kept looking since she wasn't that close with the fifth years. She found them slightly annoying, but hey, there's a certain year Cordelia always finds annoying. Last year it was the now third years. Thankfully they weren't so damn skittish anymore and she could actually talk to them. Honestly, she wasn't a dragon or anything. Then her eyes found the person she decided to claim as her own: Elenora D'eath. A brief smirk surrounded her features before she cleaned it off and began to head over to the girl.
Once she approached her, she sat down next to her on the couch. "Heeey Nora. How's it going?" Cordelia asked trying to sound nonchalant. Cordelia decided in a split second that she wouldn't jump right into her little proposition or even whisk her away. Nora was't that kind of person, but she knew that if she kept at it she might get her to come. Hufflepuffs were terrible with peer pressure. Cordelia herself was a terrible pressured person who gave into it way too often. It was such a pity how nice we were when we didn't want to be.

(Yesterday wasn't easy.) Made a wish by the bay and the tide took your heart away. Lift your head up, really hear me. When the water is risin' you can't close your eyes and...
Reading. It was friday night and Nora sat there, here legs curled up on the couch, reading. She'd never loved parties. There was too much noise and far too many people. She always felt like a deer caught in the headlights and she just wanted to escape. Sometimes, she would spend time with her siblings, but after Barclay's disappearance and Jakoby leaving, it seemed harder. Ben had always been her closest sibling anyway, but it just wasn't the same without the other two. With Jakoby it was alright. He still owled his little sister from time to time though she knew he was busy. Barclay was just gone. That was the cold, harsh truth of it. Missing. But Nora knew the truth. She didn't know whether Ben was willing to admit it yet. Maybe he hadn't even figured it out? But Nora knew Brandy wasn't going to come back. She knew her older sibling was dead. She could feel it. Nora had thought her family were invincible. They were vampires, what could kill the dead? Nora glanced at burning candle on the table beside her and shuddered, before blowing it out. Ever since Barclay's disappearance, fire had been a prominent fixture in the young girl's nightmares.
So, there she sat, reading an old muggle classic. In muggle studies, they were encouraged to read muggle books. This one, Pride and Prejudice, was apparently famous. She found it fairly odd. This Mr, Darcy was pompous and the Jane and Bingley characters seemed kind of silly. He loved her, but he left her because of his sister, before coming back to her? It was downright silly. If a man did that to her, Nora would... Nora would.. Nora would just sit there and let it happen. The girl had no back bone. She sighed, leaning further back into the chair. Usually, she liked to read in the privacy of her bedroom, well, her bedroom she shared with five other girls. However, when she had opened the door she had heard an odd moaning sound and she blanched when she saw the two bodies on one of the beds, before quietly closing the door. Her roommate had managed to get a boy into their dorms. Nora had thought something like that impossible. So, she sat, reading her silly muggle book, curled up on the sofa.
It was nice to have some peace. There were people in the room, but no one was loud or irritating. She could almost pretend she was all alone. Then she noticed a figure in her line of vision, walking towards her. Oh, no. Nora curled up into a ball, her arms around her legs, watching the beautiful blond girl over her knees. She was in the year above. Cordelia? Nora didn't remember having ever spoke to her before. This girl wanted something. Nora was shy, a pushover, but she was smart. She knew when there were ulterior motives. "Umm.. Hi.. I'm okay. Reading. I'm reading." She mumbled feeling silly. "Wha-.. Erm, do you need anything?" Nora had never been good with strangers. As soon as she got to know someone, it was fine, but until them? Well, she wouldn't be winning any prizes for being cool.
...Pray...

Nora was adorable, but the girl seriously needed to get out some more. She may be one of those fifth year girls, but at least she wasn't annoying like some of the other fifth year girls. Cordelia actually thought Nora could be a decent person if she spoke up some more. Cordelia was never one to be insanely shy, but then again, she did know a lot of people since she had been here for six years now. Cordelia felt as if it was her duty to help the stereotypical Hufflepuff out of her shelf of shyness. As she sat down next to Nora, Cordelia crossed her legs in a pretzel and faced her, giving Nora her full attention. Cordelia always considered herself a good listener. It was one of the Hufflepuff qualities she didn't mind having.
"Reading? What's the book called?" Cordelia asked, ignoring the second question for a bit. She would get back to that later if she asked again - and Cordelia was sure she would. Not bothering to wait for an answer, Cordelia tilted her head to see the front of the book and read out loud, "Priiiide and...Prejudice? Hmm, never heard of it, but I'm sure it's a lovely book." Cordelia said as she straightened up again. She began to twirl her hair around her fingers like she normally did and decided to answer her second question about needing something. "And to answer your second question, wanna go for a short walk?" Cordelia asked. She knew that most of the Hufflepuffs had an idea of where the Kitchens were, but did the future Hufflepuffs know this? No. The seventh years weren't sentimental like Cordelia liked to think she was. She wanted someone else to know how to infiltrate the Kitchens. She wanted the secret not to die, thus Nora. She could've told the younger years herself, but the more people the merrier.
"I promise we won't get caught. I've done this loads of times. Plus, it's not that far anyways." Cordelia tried to persuade Nora. If anybody could trust anybody, they should trust Cordelia. She knew what it was like to need the feeling of trust between two people since Cordelia was on the Quidditch team. Plus, weren't Hufflepuffs known for trusting blindly anyways? Cordelia knew she had a problem with that in her third year.
