“No can do my friend ‘fraid the price is fixed there! Sorry about that but I can’t short change the shop mate! I need that income, these tricks don’t pay for themselves you know.” [/b] Scratching out a tally chart onto a violently purple order form, Roxanne sat with her legs crossed on one of the study tables in the Gryffindor common room. Beside her sat a sizable stack of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes Skiving Snackboxes (A range of sweets to make you ill!) and around her stood a gaggle of students, all rooting about in their pockets and bags for their spare change. Crossing out the lines representing another five boxes, she tucked the quill behind her ear and scanned the face’s in front of her. “Next person to ask me about further discount will get a nice dung bomb in their underwear drawer alright. Yeah boy’s too, I have my ways now whose next?”[/b] A small first year approached her nervously and she flashed him a wicked smile. “Do I detect a new customer?”[/b] The boy nodded ferverantly and stammered a reply. “Y-yeah, er…a few of the older boy’s say your joke stuff is excellent”Raising her hand to her throat, she let out a choked up sigh. “Alas our loyal customers, corrupting the youth! Never thought I see such a beautiful day! Tell you what mate, since your new here take one for free okay! Purely on a trial basis of course."[/b] Grabbing a box of nosebleed nougat from the top of the pile, she tossed it to him and pulled the quill from behind her ear again, making a note on the order form. “Just remember to come back and buy three when you run out okay!”[/b] she grinned as the boy nodded again and dashed off to join his friends. Her attention returning to the crowd, she scanned the room for any sign of her dear brother before taking the next few orders. Up until Fred and Roxanne had started at Hogwarts, most of the students been using the free Owl order service provided by Weasleys Wizard Wheezes in order to obtain the tools they needed for magical mischief making and it had been working quite nicely for years but when the opportunity to make a more direct point of sale right in the heart of things had arisen (i.e in the form of George's two kids) it had been somewhat of a revolution for both Student and business. Shifting her position on the table, she turned to count her remaining Snackboxes ( 3 Fainting Fancies, 2 Fever Fudge, 5 Nosebleed Nougat and 2 Puking Pastilles) and scratched out another note onto the form before pulling her wand out of the back pocket of her jeans and giving it a quick wave. The boxes stacked themselves up neatly before disappearing into a large, floral and very girly looking sack onto which the word “underwear’ was sewn (to keep out prying eyes a.k.a teachers) and collecting up the order form, she tapped it once and it rolled itself up into a tight scroll before dropping the last few Galleons into a small tin money box which closed and locked itself automatically. Adding that to the sack she gave a cheery thumbs up to her customers before declaring her make-shift shop closed for the night. “Right cheers everyone! That’s it for now, I’ll get some more stock in for next week so be sure to make those boxes last at least up until then. I don’t know what I’ll do if I have to curse someone for badgering me about top-up orders all right.”[/b] She chuckled before sliding cat-like off the table and hauled the sack over her shoulder. Tucking her wand into her back pocket again, she headed for the portrait hole, it was time for a trip to the Owlery.[/blockquote]

Danica corrected her white knit beret in her mirror and walked down the stairs. Her firey red hair tucked behind her ears. She had multiple letters to send to her cousins on her mum's side as well as a couple of her aunts and uncles as well as her parents. She tucked them in her messenger bag and walked out of the Gryffindor Common Room and waved at her friends. Her delicate fingers coming through her white knit hobo gloves. She walked down the grand staircases and headed toward the owlrey. She had made it all the ways to the grounds without seeing a single cousin or sibling of hers. This was a rare occurrence as she was pretty much related to the rest of the school.
Danica slid out of the doors and walked toward the tower. Her mind danced with the ideas of classes. She thought of her father and how he had been training the dragons of Romania. It had been so long since she had been there. She thought of her mum and how she must be doing with her four babies out of the house. She thought of her brother, he was probably patrolling. Her sister was probably studying and she had not seen her little brother oddly enough. She tied her black button up wool coat closer to herself. This December was exceedingly cold. She like the lack of sunburn however, it came at a freezing price. These were the times of year she figured she would invest in Durmstrang robes. However, despite the red hair she was always prone to being exceedingly cold. Exceedingly cold, exceedingly cold weather, what a winning combination. She felt herself almost wipe out on the bridge that somewhat led to the base of the owlrey tower.
She paced herself as she went up the stairs. It was really slippery this time around. She kept her pace steady so she would avoid any form of injury. Danica walked through the door. She went through the arch and saw a flaming head of hair. One that actually rivaled her own. The ringlets though were a dead give away. "Why Hello Roxie." She said with a tone of playfulness as she gently pulled a ringlet only to see it bounce right back. "I thought you were going to be in the shop until way later." She said turning her head to the side and checking her watch. It was indeed later than she thought. "Oh and Nana Molly told me to tell you, that she wants to know if you are staying for Christmas or not." She said trying to recall her grandmother's request.

The moment she reached the foot of the tower she cursed the fact that she hadn’t brought a scarf. Reaching for the iron door handle, she flinched back from it almost immediately as the cold metal bit at her hand and adding gloves to her memo list, she yanked her wand haphazardly from her back pocket and tapped it instead. The door swung open with ease but the iced handle was nothing compared to the gust of frigid wind that hit her full in the face as the tower bid her welcome. Piercing her skin like a knife, the cold drought sent a tremor of shivers down her spine and she dropped the sack she was holding with a dull thud. Clearly the thin black and white striped top she wore had been a bad wardrobe choice for today, even with the long sleeves!
Wrapping her arms around herself in an attempt to quell the shivers, she swore loudly, crimson curls bouncing around her face as the breeze ebbed slightly and she felt the warm of the corridor at her back, patting her shoulder like a friendly hand. A few moments of frantic rubbing later and her arms felt a little warmer, as did her hands and stooping to collect her dropped gear, she started up the stone steps as they wound upwards in a narrow spiral. She reached the halfway point before anything drastic happened. In fact it wasn’t until her feet went from under her that she remembered there was no glass in the Owlery windows and, no glass meant that the December snow had settled itself nicely on the steps closest to the top and eventually tuned to ice. She landed painfully on her behind.
The sack hit the floor for the second time that evening and she let out a yelp akin to a wounded dog. Climbing slowly to her feet again, she scanned the steps above her and chose a route close to the wall which was perfectly ice free before scooping up her gear again and completing her journey. A strong smell of birds hit her as she stepped through the doorway and automatically she glanced down at the straw covered floor to check for more ice before a slight tug on the back of her head caught her attention and she turned around to find herself face to face with a favored cousin.
"Why Hello Roxie. I thought you were going to be in the shop until way later."
Her face split into a wide grin and she gave Danica a wink. “Well fancy meeting you here Miss-- wait! how did you make it up those bloody stairs without breaking your neck?” [/b] She questioned, before offering up her own answers. “I’m running low on supplies now. Tell you what them kiddiewinks don’t half eat up my stock list! It’s like tossing a steak out to a horde of starving Acromantula! Dad’ll be well happy and as far as Christmas goes, I’ll have to ask Freddikins what he wants to do. Tell Nana I’ll Owl her once I know the plan. I’ll probably end up heading home even if Fred doesn’t though, I’m in the mood for some quality Burrow time!”[/b] Walking over to one of the windows, she dropped the sack again before moving well out of the way of the draught. “Anyway Dani dearest, how are you and what bring you upto this devilishly draughty tower tonight?”[/b][/blockquote]

Danica smirked at her cousin. Oh how this child could easily make her smile. She missed hanging out with her all summer and frankly these moment to moment meetings were just not cutting it for the redhead. Her cousins were always at the forefront of her mind as she was pretty much the self-proclaimed make-shift Nana Molly. Although her some of her relatives have made it clear that she should worry more about herself rather than the rest of the clan of 16 students that graced the hallowed halls. Dani rarely caused trouble, except with the occasional professor that did not understand her sense of humor. No, what most of her cousins referred to was her blatant clumsiness that came with being a Weasley. A good number of them (cough cough, uncle Ron) were known for how clumsy they were on land but rather near graceful on a broom. Danica was lucky enough to get this trait so it came to no one’s surprise that Roxie inquired how the girl had made it up the steps. “Believe there were quite a few close calls.” She said honestly. It was the truth there were two or three steps in which the girl was required to regain balance. She was just grateful that her love interest Jayden Corner wasn’t around along with Lysander Scamander as both seemed to tickle the youngest daughter of Charlie Weasley’s fancy to say the least. “Yeah I have just been practicing.” She said sarcastically trying to play it cool.
Then talk turned to Roxie ordering supplies and what was selling at her Uncle’s shop. It was no secret to the kids of her age that it was the coolest shop in the village. She thought of her own favorites. Love potions, exploding candies, and the list goes on. “I bet.” She smiled referring to the lacking of supplies in Roxie’s portion of the shop. “It seems to come with the territory when your uncle or father, in your’s and Freddie’s cases is a pranking genius that gives the prefects enough business for the year.” She said smiling. She knew her brother, Beau, was a prefect and frankly Dani took pleasure in mercilessly mocking him for it. Similar, their Nana had claimed to what exactly her uncles had done to her Uncle Percy. “If you could kindly get me an order of those in advance so I beat the rush, I would be quite thrilled. You can make a point to tell your father that I have absolutely nothing notorious planned I promise.” She said sending the girl a large, exaggerated wink. Oh yeah she had something planned alright and she was going to enlist the help of her cousins to make sure more than one prefect got their just dessert. There was also Rosalie Young, the natural. She would certainly be in on this as well.
“Yeah, so hard to believe that we are coming up to Christmas and soon enough it will be summer once again!” She said marveling at the fact. “Sure I love this ice but it does serious damage to my personal, physical wellbeing.” She said with a smile. “Hmmm, what does bring me up here so late, unaccompanied, and with a grin on my face that can only match Rose’s when she is up to no good? Why nothing of course.” She said with a Cheshire cat like smile coming across her face. “I am innocently sending a few of my relatives mail, that is not a crime now is it Roxie?” She said toying with her younger cousin slightly. “Other than requesting supplies what else are you doing? We both know that cannot be the only thing, now can it?” She said quirking an eyebrow at her.
