It was a lovely day out in the snow of winter. Holiday break was probably the best time for the young Swedish girl to be outside. Ashes loved the snow; she had since she was just a little girl. Normally she would go home for the break and spend it with her family as they would fly to the Ice Hotel in northern Sweden to spend a few weeks away from it all, sometimes they would spend it at a huge feast with the villagers. She rolled her eyes at that thought, she was glad to be away from the craziness of being in Sweden. She wore a pink coat that was long, it looked light because it was a snowboarding jacket, she acquired when she started the muggle sport. She didn’t know why she loved it so much but she couldn’t help it. A purple beanie covered her long blond hair, which caught in the breeze being set up at the lake. It was night time and the moon glistened off the unstirred water making the night so beautiful and enchanting. Ashes loved the outdoors just as much as she loved music. She laid back into the snow as it made a crunching sound as her body crushed the snow underneath. A plaid colored bag laid next to her, full of books and random things. Ash closed the light colored blue eyes she had as she reset outside in the snow. Most students thought she was crazy because well she was the only Swedish student in the whole school and she was random.
One thing that Ashes knew was that she could survive easily outside in the cold air because of her nature and the ability to herself warm. Her blonde hair curled against her chest and clashed against the pink jacket. She could hear footsteps in the background it didn’t faze her really. She sat up and brought her knees to her chest figuring she probably should make sure it wasn’t a prefect. Ash had a record going with a few of them that they were threatening her with detention or something like that. She didn’t really pay attention to them because she knew she could hide easily from them. She stood up grabbing her bag and headed closer to the still water of the lake. She smiled at its beauty wishing it was summer time so she could go swimming without freezing to death. She perched herself at the edge of the shore grabbing some paper from her back and a quill. She started to draw on the paper as she was getting lost into the drawing. She had a strong focus on what she was doing easily escaping the world behind and into another world.
Ashes loved to be around people just as much as she escaped her own reality. She always knew her best friend thought she was a little insane for doing what she did, but it was hard not to when most people didn’t understand sometimes the way you spoke. For her the Swedish accent drove people crazy because she knew they did understand a word she spoke. She was an only child so while other were watching out or hanging out with their siblings, she relied on her friends and the hufflepuff house to have entertainment. Of course Ash loved to be around her fellow mates in her house because when they got together it was like a party. As the footsteps grew closer she started snapping back to reality and realized that she wasn’t always going to have the ability to run away so she needed to face what she was looking at head on. She bit her lip hoping to merlin that it was a friendly face.
