[JAXX NELLYEL A'LUNA]

Just another day in the bar, of hopes and dreams. Jaxx, a young vampire who still didn’t understand what the world wanted from her, sat bored in the gloomy bar. She had been out of school for a year and hadn’t seen any one she really knew since she was out of school. Though she did see a few of her vampire friends, they seemed to always check up on her as much as they can. Jaxx loved her friends more than anything. She cleaned up some tables when her boss came over to her and telling her she could go home. She smiled and nodded and well just sat down at the table. She watched in hope someone would come and save her from her boredness she had acquired that day. Some signs of hope as a few stragglers came in. She bit her lip ordering something to drink. Her craving for blood today was higher than usual. Jaxx always had her blood hunger control usually it was a good thing to keep it in control.

Jaxx could only think about her blood thirst. She couldn’t figure out what was going on with it, she had just drank blood a day ago. She sighed a little not really caring about her thirst more just trying to control it. She took a drink of the beer hoping it would help her out some. She looked around for Quinn hoping he was either coming to work for the night or getting off. She was hoping for a date night just him and her alone. Jaxx was really in love with him and sought out a future with him.

He was buzzing with excitement. The last time he and Jaxx had an actual meeting together, away from work, from home, a date, it had ended nicely, but now he wanted to make sure all of their dates ended nicely. He was going to give Jaxx the surprise of her life. He brought the cigarette to his mouth and inhaled the smoke, before releasing it into the sky. He got looks and he wasn't surprised when many other adults shook their heads at him. So what, he was different, and he delved into muggle habits. Oh well.

He put his cigarette out and snuffed it back into its box along with the other two half smoked cancer sticks, sighing at himself. Quinn needed to stop the terrible habits; drinking, smoking and partying until the early morning if his work allowed it. He had to grow up. Throwing the box of cigarettes into his pocket, he pulled out the smaller white box that contained something that he had been saving up for, for about six months. It was a princess cut, goblin made engagement ring. Her initials were engraved on the band inside.

Quinn put the ring box back in his pocket, his heart beginning to beat quickly. He knew that he loved Jaxx and he knew that this was a big step... but he loved her with every fibre of his body - marriage wasn't wrong... was it? He entered the shop and searched for Jaxx, smiling when he found her; sitting at a table looking gloomy. Quinn made sure to approach from behind, wrapping his strong tattooed arms around her shoulders. "Hey babe," He said, kissing her temple.

Jaxx couldn’t wait for Quinn to come around only because she loved to see him all the time. The two lived together and of course work together. The two lovers were happy together, and nothing could separate their love for each other. She took a small sip of her drink as she kept hoping the date night was going to be great. She fiddled with her hair knowing that whatever Quinn had in mind she was going to be happy with it. Though, she wished their date nights were so far away when they both were working. She started to bit her lip out of a small little habit of being nerves she figured something big was going to happen when her boyfriend had been sneaky around. She knew that he wasn’t cheating on her; because how the two were together it was a connection the two shared was stronger than most couples their age. Or well close to their age considering Jaxx was a lot younger than Quinn. She sometimes wondered if he had really thought of her age. She smiled humming a little song in her head as her fluttered a little. She frowned a little wondering what would happen if he blew her off. Of course she knew he wouldn’t ever dream of that but in her mind thought of every possibility.

She heard his voice and a small kiss on her head. She turned in his arms kissing his lips softly. “Babe!” she exclaimed. As she was happy to see her boyfriend, even though she seen him a lot with work and being home with him. Jaxx though hated the little time they had when it came to their schedules, she was always working opposite then him. She smiled brightly loving being around him for awhile. She knew that night was going to be the best ever just because he was there with her. She situated herself in the chair making herself comfortable. “So baby, how are you?” Jaxx asked as she messed with her black hair.

hearing her voice made quinn so happy; he kissed her again gently before he sat in the chair across from her, "im great, thanks." the box in his pocket was making his chest tighten with anxiety. what if she said no? what if she said she was too young? quinn knew she was only nineteen, but... many young adults married that age, didn't they? he smiled at her and bit the inside of his lip, sighing slightly when she messed with her black hair. that was one thing that had quinn falling over himself for her - her hair. he loved playing with it and braiding it and just making it beautiful.

"do you want a drink, hon?" he asked her, reaching across the table to take her hand in his. he wanted to ask her right this second, but he couldn't. it wouldn't be special. besides, he wanted their boss to be in the room when he popped the question; quinn wanted him to know that sooner or later both of them would be unavailable and he would have to deal with it. quinn lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed it before letting it go again, smiling at her. as a waiter came over he quickly ordered two butterbeers and a bottle of firewhiskey.

quinn sighed inwardly, and smiled at jaxx. "jaxx, you know i love you, right?" he asked her quietly.

If something couldn’t make a girl even happier it was the love her life. It would give any girl butterflies to have a charming boyfriend like Quinn, and the lucky girl would be Jaxx. She couldn’t stop loving him no matter what happened to the two of them. She smiled and her heart fluttered as he spoke and he kissed her. Jaxx couldn’t help but know she was in love with him and could always see a future with each other and little kids running around. Well she wanted to wait on the little ones running around their place till she was a little bit older and both were able to take care of kids. She smiled letting her black hair fall more to the side for Quinn to play with it. Jaxx loved when he played with her hair, only because she didn’t know really what to do with it. Her hair had been all lengths and nothing ever changed with the fact she really was bad at styling her hair. Jaxx usually went to Quinn if she was going to do something amazing. “Umm… Sure would love something to drink.” She said smiling as her cheeks started to turn a shade of red as he kissed her hand.

Butterflies were in the pit of her stomach as the two sat there. Of course it was just like when they started to date all those years ago. She remembered those days back in Hogwarts, as she was cool because she hung out with someone older than her. When she started dating Quinn the whole school went in an uproar and made her even more popular. But for her it was simple fact he saved her life and her love grew more. For her the one thing out of everything else she loved most would have been his eyes, Jaxx loved Quinn’s eyes because they were so beautiful and deep. She looked at him oddly when he spoke about knowing the fact he loved her. She nodded in agreement she knew he loved her. “Of course Quinn! I know you love me… And you know I love you tons.” She said with a little giggle. She felt nervous like she knew something was happening. “Babe what’s going on? You seem nervous?” Jaxx asked after a moment of sitting there she looked up wondering where the drinks were at. She found herself smiling even more as she felt like she couldn’t stop smiling around him.

Growing up, Quinn had never thought of himself as charming or lucky or anything of that sense; he was a punk and a rebel, always getting into trouble with his professors and his buddies. Jaxx had stolen his heart the moment he had laid his eyes on her and now... now he had eyes for no one but her. He strived to make her happy and today of all days he hoped that what he was going to do, was going to make her happy. As she moved her hair to the side, Quinn smirked as he continued to play with it, the silky strands calming his racing nerves. The vampire smiled as she blushed, the cute innocent reaction only making him more anxious to give up his secret.

While at school, Quinn had broken an unspoken rule and had dated both outside of his house and outside of his year - Jaxx was in fourth year when he was in seventh, and from there it just gradually went on. How long had they actually dated for, without the small breaks of a few days here and there? Quinn wasn't sure because he was terrible at keeping time, but he knew that now he was nearing twenty three and she was nearing twenty... well, it had been a long time. The drinks were placed on the table as were Jaxx's hands; Quinn looked at her as she asked him if he was alright.

This was it, now or never.

"Jaxx, we've been dating for Merlin knows how long." Quinn started, and he nervously - but gently - squeezed her hand. "And well, there's something I've been meaning to ask you since you graduated. I just ... I've always wanted to make you happy and maybe now I can finally do that properly." Quinn let her hands go and stood up. He had to do it now, there was no turning around. His boss was cleaning a mug and had seen Quinn stand. The ex-slytherin moved to his ravenclaw girlfriend and knelt beside her, taking her left hand into his. "Jaxx A'luna, I love you with all my heart."

The whole bar fell into a hush.

"Will you marry me?"

Jaxx thought back at all the times she would miss out on homework just to spend time with Quinn; it was the one thing that disqualified her for the running of being top of her class. She loved it though when she would miss class to hang out with him, her friends would go nuts at how she was acting. It wasn’t a place for a ravenclaw to date a slytherin, usually with the houses being separated and personalities would clash. Her friends just didn’t understand who she was in the same sense that she was still her book loving smart side just at a new found side. She never looked back at the day she started dating Quinn, he was her lover. Jaxx couldn’t ever get him out of her mind and she enjoyed his every presences. Her family enjoyed the vampire knowing that this boy was what she needed in her life. Of course Jaxx had a strong sense of her actual culture in Hawai’i and she knew that Quinn understood her lifestyle. She was kind of shocked how he was acting though this day. It made her slightly nervous on how her boyfriend of who knew how long acted that day.

“Quinn you are making me a little nervous here.” She said when he started to speak to her about how long they truly been dating. “And its been umm…. 4-6 years that we’ve actually dated. Granted I can be off a little.” She said laughing a little. She smiled and took a drink of when the waiter brought the drinks over to them. She was really shocked how this day was working out. Jaxx’s heart started to beat faster as he started stating that he wanted to ask her this question since she had graduated from Hogwarts. That was it, the question she had dreamed of; Quinn asking her to marry her. Her heart stopped when Quinn knelt in front of her and took her hand. She couldn’t believe he was really asking her to marry him. She bit her lip and blushed a dark red realizing that everyone was looking at them even their boss was there. “Quinn… I…I…” She said stuttering and had a smile so big on her face she couldn’t stop smiling at him. She learned down kissing his lips passionately. “Quinn of course I will marry you! I love you so much!” She said hugging him tightly. She was so happy to be engaged to the love of her life.

Quinn had almost failed sixth year transfiguration for Jaxx. Countless nights, with her instead of doing homework. It was a terrible habit he had gotten into, and still to this day he almost misses work because of her. Not he’d ever get mad at her for any of it. He loved her far too much. The fact that they had made it work with the house and age difference seemed to have sparked a new respect in some of his housemates, the alumni rather. Not a lot of them actually accepted Quinn and Jaxx, but he couldn’t change that now. He was going to make her happy for ever and never let anyone and or anything get in between them. As the drinks came he suddenly felt parched, but refused to drink yet; he would have time for that after he got her to say yes… if she would say yes.

He dropped the question. Quinn hardly heard what she had said before he popped the question – he was too nervous and anxious to see if she’d actually say yes. She was only nineteen, she was too young to settle! But Quinn wasn’t going to let her walk out of his life because he was older. There was no way he’d let that happen. Jaxx was the love of his life and he would be completely heartbroken if it ever happened. Quinn could feel a hundred pairs of eyes on them as he waited for her to say yes or no, is heart beating loudly and wildly in his chest. Her stuttering was so cute, and she was so put on the spot. The male squeezed her hand, coaxing an answer out of her. She kissed him, and he knew she was going to say yes.

Jaxx said yes. Quinn leapt up and picked her up, hugging her tightly to him, kissing her all over her face. There were tears in his eyes. Everyone was clapping, cheering and congratulating them. But, Quinn couldn’t hear them. He could only see and hear Jaxx, all around him. “God Jaxx I love you, I’ll make you so happy you’ll never have to work here ever again. We’ll move out – to Hawaii! Live close to your parents.. Oh Merlin, Jaxx I love you, I love you.” He let her back down and buried his face in the crook of her neck, tattooed arms still wrapped around her.

Jaxx found herself off in never land with day dreams of her boyfriend and her having a new life together. She always remembered the fun she had when the two snuck out at night to do whatever they wanted. Usually the two were down at hogsmead having a few drinks. She smiled to herself realizing how cute and innocent she was then, well the world around her was caving in and she felt like back then nothing would have changed. Though, she had repressed some memories, the ones from that night she almost died from suicide. That night Quinn had saved her by turning to being a vampire. She felt bad that very night he seen her at her worse but it brought gratitude and more love for him. Her tragic story had been written and now she was on to the faerie tale. She could feel the eyes just stare at her as she drank her beer. It was that odd feeling she hadn’t had for a long time. Well about two years when she graduated from Hogwarts as was one of the top in her class, it took a lot of hard work when Quinn was there for her to sneak out and go to him. She snapped to the reality around her. Her charming boyfriend, the love of her life and surround by a bunch of random strangers, coworkers and their boss. Life was pretty good.

It was when she finally realized what was happening, she was going to be Mrs. Quinn Way. She would get to plan her own wedding with him. She smiled at Quinn knowing there was no limit to their love and what it brought them. She knew she was young to get married, but she knew who she wanted to spend her life with. Settling down for Jaxx was something she couldn’t say no to just because she loved her fiancée so much. She shivered at the thought of calling him her fiancée. She felt like a school girl all over again. She felt him pick her up hugging her tightly when she said yes. She wrapped her arms around his neck and placing her head in his chest. She smiled inwardly knowing she made the right decision. She let go of him as she found her feet touching the ground finally. She looked around hearing the congratulations coming from every one. She nodded to them but her focus was on Quinn. He spoke amazing things to her, about going home to Hawai’i and being close to her parents. She missed the beach and the waves and the sun beating against her skin. “Quinn, I love you too. You’ve already made me the happiest girl in the world. You can’t make me any happier than just being with you every moment.” She said with a smile on her face.

She shook her head to not wanting to stop working; she couldn’t face herself if she stopped working or was outside of this area she thought of herself going insane. “Though, I miss Hawai’i and my parents. And the fact not working again would be fun. I don’t think I could leave this place. I love you tons, and the goddess Laka can prove it.” She smiled running her fingers through his hair.
