It was Wednesday, and Ben couldn’t stay still. He danced down the staircase to breakfast, eating nothing as usual, but whistling with such perfect pitch he impressed his housemates. He paid the least amount of attention in his classes that he could get away with, tapping his quill on his desk, daydreaming. Memories of the other night kept playing in his head on loop, her brown eyes, her smooth skin, her sweet smile. He smiled goofily and blinked a few times whenever someone addressed him, much to the bafflement of his students and peers. Ben D’eath was known for being rigidly formal, no matter what the occasion, a perfectionist, and somewhat arrogant. But today it seemed as if he was on several different painkillers. Which of course, was suspicious, as Ben D’eath never committed himself fully enough to anything so as to get hurt.
He had gotten out of the Quidditch practice after dinner somehow, though it was probable that Felix read the desperation in his eyes. After thanking him profusely, Ben walked jauntily, still whistling, down the winding stairs to the library, bringing his notes from last year he begged his parents to send him. Charms, Transfiguration, History of Magic, Potions, he listed in his head as he rifled through the parchment, not wanting to have to tromp all the way back up to his dormitory, Herbology drawings and theory, Defense Against the Dark Arts, he was pretty sure it was all there. Tori was taking a rather heavy course load this year, and he knew that she sometimes had trouble balancing her studies and her social life. Ben realized he didn’t have that problem at all, as he sifted through the intricately detailed notes. He frowned, creasing his brow. He didn’t want to be reminded of another thing that seperated them.
He made his way into the library annex, pushing past a few second years in his haste. They had agreed to meet a seven-thirty, but he had arrived a few minutes early so he could set up. He wondered nervously, pacing left to right, if she even remembered. He was barely paying attention to the things he had said. They hadn’t talked since then, and he had just assumed that their session was still on. They rarely saw each other, and it made him sad. He had tried to smile at her when he bumped into her in the hallway, but he wasn’t sure she even noticed. He stopped whistling, and dumped his bag and his old notes on a chair, and began to see if there were any supplementary books that might be helpful. If he had it his way, they wouldn’t do any studying at all, but if she failed her OWLs, that would be a reflection on him, and he wanted to be the best boyfriend. After all, he had to make up for being a vampire, and for making her change. Sometime in the future, he reminded himself. Sometime in the near future, she would be all his, forever.
ooc; when croaky is running on two hours of sleep. sorry.

It was obvious that people noticed Victoria’s positive attitude, instead of her depressed one. Being sociable was very important to her, and in the past five years she had made a name for herself. People either heard of her, or knew her and only the lucky ones were close to her. It did take a year or two to get close to her, after all she had to learn to trust her new friends and usually that took a lot of time for her to achieve. Most people knew that to be considered popular, you had to attend every social event in the school, no matter what it was. This was the only reason she had attend the Halloween ball, which had gone terribly wrong for her and sent out the wrong vibe to the students in Hogwarts, of course this didn’t affect her, after all, her friends were still speaking to her and it hadn’t really made a difference in her popularity. All day she had been more confident than usual, which actually irritated most of the student body. Main reason why she was actually excited for today was mostly because she was seeing someone very close to her in the evening, for a study session. Maybe it had been a few days since they last saw each other, but that still didn’t affect her feelings for him at all. Victoria still adored him and wanted to be with him forever, of course any teenager would say that, but saying to a vampire you wanted to be with them forever usually indicated you wanted to become like them in order to be with them.
Not that being like him was a bad thing; she had given it some thought since then and measured up all the advantages and disadvantages. Maybe her family wouldn’t mind her being a vampire in order to be with someone? But she felt that she should talk to her brother before she did anything that would make him hate her guts. Being a vampire would get her more though, especially in Slytherin, most vampires had allies right? Tori’s footsteps quicken as she made her way down the hallway in her very plain outfit. Her tight ripped skinny jeans were tight on her legs, but the made them appear more skinny than usual, and her top gave her that curvy affect she died for. She had almost broken out into a jog fearing that she’d be late for their first study session in a while. She was planning on telling him she had thought about it, but she was still unsure on the answer. It would change everything and she wasn’t sure she’d be able to handle everything that came along with being a vampire. Stepping into the library she gazed around before she saw Ben at one of the desks and a small smirk appeared on her face.
With out making a noise she walked across the library planning to surprise him, of course it wouldn’t be much of a surprise as he could probably already smell her strong perfume that was in the air. It didn’t bother her though; it was the thought that counted! When she reached him she wrapped her pale arms round his waist and smiled eagerly to herself before going onto her tip toes, “Hello Handsome,” With that she placed her soft lips against his cold cheek and squeezed his waist. Tori let go after a few seconds and sat down at the table, wondering if they’d actually study or it would be another hour of her showing her affection for him.
ooc; ah don't worry about it. mine is equally a fail.

It felt a little odd, being in the library. After all, the last time he was here, he was chatting up Mia Selwyn for very selfish reasons. Mia, who was stuck in an arranged marriage, who thought that Ben might be able to rescue her from the wizarding law. And Ben had no intentions to do anything of the sort. He was just using her to make Tori jealous, although he wasn’t hundred-percent conscious of it at the time. He had teased one of his best friends with something that she longed for so much, and he felt horrible about it. The libary brought back all those memories of her little smile, and her bright blue eyes. The library also recalled the first time that he confessed to Tori that he liked her, when she had been somewhat involved with Colby. He grinned sheepishly, remembering how she had draped herself over him, and felt like thanking the higher powers that things had worked out between them after all. There had been a great many obstacles in their way, from the fact that he was a vampire to the brawl at the Ball, but now it seemed like everything was going smoothly. He would stay by her side as long as she wanted him to, no matter what, because he loved her.
He flopped down into his wooden chair, fifth year books piled up in his arms, and began to arrange them in obsessive ways. Standing up over the desk, he sorted them alphabetically, then alphabetically by author’s last name, by the order she took classes in her schedule, by how she was doing in each class, by color. He wanted it to be perfect, because disappointing her would tear him apart, like it did when she found out in a very traumatic way that he was a vampire. He couldn’t help replaying the scene in his head some nights, when everyone else was asleep, looking at it from different angles. He imagined how she saw it, through her human eyes, his face smeared with dark blood, his eyes wild. He remembered the shock in her perfect face, and he sighed. It would haunt him forever, even though he hoped she wouldn’t think about it anymore. It might stop from from wanting to become like him, if she realized that there was going to be blood and gore and guilt as well as eternal love.
He felt the vibrations running through the cushioned library floor, rather than hearing the footsteps, and he knew by her intrinsic smell that Tori was creeping up behind him. He straighten the books one last time while waiting for her approach. He felt her warmth behind him, and her arm wrapped around his waist and he let out a little squeak, and blushed with embarassment over the undignified noise. He felt her breath, then her lips brushed against his cheek, and he felt it go hot. They had been all over each other at the lake, but it was different under the bright lights of the library. “Evening beautiful,
” he said, as evenly as he could as she sat down at the table, stacked with books. He leaned over her slightly, placing a kiss on her forehead, and sat down across from her. She was so wonderful, it was hard to believe that she had agreed to be his. “ How has your week been?” he asked, not able to tear his eyes away from her face. He reached his hand across the circular table, wanted to feel her touch again. He was addicted, and he hadn’t even drunk her blood yet. He was a lost case, but of course he knew that ever since he saw her, and got to know her. “ Not too bad without me, I hope?” Smiling vacantly, he continued to take her in, her body framed by her shirt and skinny jeans, her face framed by her long blonde hair. Being away from him had affected her life greatly, and she couldn’t believe a male would take this toll on her life. Sure they had started a relationship, but she couldn’t get him out of her mind at all. All day she had been thinking about their study session and finally she was here with him, and she wondered if it had been like the last study session they had together. Victoria was quite happy that she was finally with him, and she didn’t care if they actually studied or not, she was with him and that’s all that mattered. When he kissed her forehead she smile and blushed, looking down slightly at her feet. What she loved most was him, but of course she loved the fact he paid her compliments. Oh how she loved Ben D’eath!
Tori looked at him from across the table and admired him silently, “Well, it’s been alright but of course it would be better if you had talked to me?” She teased and faked a pout with her famous puppy dog eyes look. After two seconds she laughed gently and ran her fingers through her blond hair. “Well babe, I have missed you and it would have been better if you had turned up to see me at least once. I missed your warm cuddles.” A grin formed on her face and she leaned her elbows on the table and scared into his brown eyes, wishing she was closer to him.
ooc; sorry it's short!

He took a great intake of breath, leaning even more forward in his seat. He just wanted to be close to her. And that was the whole point of this study session, really. Tori really didn’t need help studying. She was bright, and she worked hard when she applied herself. Ben was probably more of a distraction more than anything. But they needed this time, he decided, if they were going to be a couple. It wasn’t like she could take him around the Hogwarts party circuit. His old insecurities about not being good enough for her crept in again. Was she ashamed of him? Did she not tell her friends about him, didn’t give him a kiss in the corridors, because she didn’t want people knowing? Was he decreasing her value? He ran his long, white fingers through his brown hair and sighed. He wanted to believe the best in her, but she could very well be stabbing him in the back. Looking into her perfect, angelic face, that was hard to believe. Of course he was glad that they were in a relationship. He just wanted to be sure that she was his as much as he was hers.
He chuckled a bit, seeing her blush. He almost decided that it didn’t matter who she was fucking, as long as he could make her blush. That was ridiculous. Ben, being raised by parents over three hundred years old, was rather traditional, especially when it came to relationships. He wasn’t going to play around, and he hoped she wouldn’t either. It was really old-fashioned, but if she was seeing other people, he would think that she was weak, in addition to the blow his self-esteem would take. “Well, I would have talked to you, but you were hanging out with your cool friends.
” He meant for it to be a light-hearted joke, but as the words left his lips, he realized he sounded legitimately injured. “ I mean...” he trailed off, vaguely, looking intently down at The Standard Book of Spells. He was talking to his girlfriend, very hopefully life partner, and he was screwing everything up. He melted under her infamous puppy dog eyes, and he reached across the table, lifting himself from the chair. Cupping her jaw in his palm, he mumbled, “ I just really missed you too.” And he had. He felt like her very image was painted behind his eyelids. Her lips always on his skin, her hand in his hair, and he felt like he was being torn apart by his conflicting feelings. On one hand, he would give anything just sit next to her in the library and watch her study, like he had been doing the past couple of years. On the other hand, he wanted her to be proud of him, to be able to brag about him to her friends. Staring into her deep brown eyes, he sat back down, playing hard to get. Smiling smugly, he cracked open the first book in his line of vision and asked her “ Tor, we have about fifty-four valuable minutes of studying remaining. What would you like to tackle first?” [/blockquote] ooc; no problem lottie <3 I was just insanely worried about you is all :P[/blockquote]

Unlike some people, Victoria Abercrombie didn’t rely on her popularity in life. Any normal person would know that your popularity couldn’t get you a job in life, but maybe it could help. If you knew the right people surely that could mean you could get your foot in the door, right? Although there was part of Tori that wondered what her life would be life if she didn’t have all these friends, if people around Hogwarts said ”Victoria Abercrombie? Who is that?” Sure enough people knew he name, after all her older brother was the head boy and she was sure that she became popular through him, not through her bubbly and friendly personality. If she lost all her friends, she’d live, wouldn’t be the end of the world. At the end of the day she’d always have Ben by her side, right? Well hopefully she’d always have him, after all they’d been through a lot of drama since they had made. She hadn’t told anyone that she was with Ben, no one actually knew, yet. There was the possibility that people had noticed though and worked it out and one or two of her friends had worked it out so she was sure that the news would be around the school in morning.
Victoria didn’t want to seem rude, but she was the type of person that did ignore others when someone was talking to her and she found it impolite when people talked over each other. This had prevented her from going over and seeing Ben when she was walking in the hallways, but she would always acknowledge him, no matter who she was with. Eventually, hopefully, her friends would ask Tori to invite Ben to their little social events, but that was only if he wanted to go and she wasn’t going to force him to go to something with her friends. Victoria laughed slightly and shook her head, “It shouldn’t matter if I’m with my so called cool friends, or on my own. If you see me, come talk to me, it isn’t like I’m going to bite your head off or anything.
” Bite. That word reminded her of Ben, for obvious reason of course. After mentioning the word bite she did feel slightly uncomfortable around him for a few seconds, but she knew after time she’d get use to him being a vampire. It was obvious that she shivered at his touch, she always did. Tori smirked and watched him lean back and cocked her eyebrow. Well, this study session wasn’t going to be very affectionate at all. “ Well, I need to do some of my Potions work, so may as well get that out of the way.” It had seemed like forever since she had last studied with Ben.[/blockquote]

Ben was never the most confident student in the castle, content to stay on the edges and not call attention to himself. He felt supremely lucky and blessed when the infamous Victoria Abercrombie didn't reject his timid advances. It blew his mind when she admitted to liking him, something that was only supposed to happen in the nerdy-boy dreams. But when she stopped associating with him because he was a vampire, his self esteem took another blow. He knew that he cared for Tori more than she cared for him, and while that didn't bother him in and of itself, he didn't want to be used like she used Colby. To him, Tori was his whole life, and he seemed to just be a school boyfriend. Never mind that he used Mia Selwyn for the same reasons.
“I don't want to embarrass you,
” he mumbled, tugging on his collar. As usual, he wore his Ravenclaw blue and bronze striped tie with a white button up shirt and slacks, held up with a dark leather belt. He could not stand messes or things being out of place, and he found it extremely disrespectful when other male students strutted around with their shirts disheveled and hanging by their knees. those were the types of guys that hit on Tori, and she was good friends with some of them. They had been the ones that she was casually affectionate towards, playing with all of their feelings. He fidgeted with his top two buttons, wondering if Tori preferred their grungy style to his more polished look. He was definitely over-dressed in comparison to Tori, who looked amazing in jeans. He could never pull that off, he would look like one of those Muggle hipsters with their pale skin and ridiculous sunglasses. He felt her shudder under his touch, and he rethought his decision to play hard to get. She was just so delicious and tempting. He simply wanted to kiss her and forget about her friends. But she probably had legitimate work do to so it was better for both of them to just grit their teeth and focus on the task at hand. " Potions, hmm." He pulled out the appropriate folder from his stack of notes from last year. " So what did Professor Desman assign you?" He was prepared for whatever it was, but he could resist moving right next to her, pushing his wooden chair easily and elegantly across the carpeted library floor. He perhaps did it more quickly and with more grace than humanly possible, but his secret was out now, for better or for worse. He leaned over towards her, nearly resting his head on her shoulder, his mouth near her ear. Playing with the strands of her blonde hair, he whispered saucily, “ And when is it due?” Sure, he would probably never be come-hither sexy, but this is somewhat of a date, after all. Potions was all good and well, but just studying with the girlfriend was unbearably boring. He laughed a bit at himself, after seeing how quickly his resolve melted when he was trying to resist Tori. It was amazing how Victoria’s life had turned around, and she couldn’t believe that she had managed to win over such an intelligent and handsome Ravenclaw. Of course she didn’t want to offend Ben by not telling anyone about their relationship, but had he told anyone about them? Sure there was part of her that wanted him to brag about her, tell everyone that he was dating Tori Abercrombie, but there was part of here that didn’t want any trouble. Some boys would most likely try to ruin the perfect relationship, she was sure that some of her male friends would miss her shows of affection. Since she was now in a relationship she would remain loyal to her boyfriend, no matter what happened. After all, they had been through a lot together and it would be a shame to lose, seeing as she did love him a lot. Victoria would admit that she loved him and she wasn’t afraid to say the daunting three words that others hated hearing, or saying! She happened to crave those words and wished she could hear them more and have meaning. People could run around telling others they loved them, but did they mean it? Well, Victoria Abercrombie was sure of one thing – she loved Ben D’eath, more than words could say.
A soft laugh escaped her lips and she shook her head at his comment, how could she be embarrassed from him? “I wouldn’t be embarrassed by you Ben, why would I? If you see me, come say hello, okay?” It wasn’t like her friends would mine anyway, they all knew Victoria had feelings for him and she was sure that they knew something was going on that lead to more than just a crush. All the signs were there, but it all came down to whether her friends were smart enough to read the signs. Tori tapped her fingers against the wooden table and leaned her head on the palm of her hand whilst staring into Ben’s deep brown eyes. She couldn’t believe how lucky she actually was, that she was sat studying with someone so handsome. Yes she did consider herself lucky for having him; after all he was pretty much perfect for her. Even if her brother didn’t approve of the relationship!
Seeing him pull out a folder that obviously contained Potions work did cheer her up, the simple things he did always cheered her up and the fact he had brought all his work from his fifth year just made her laugh. “Mhmm, potions.” She stated in a bored tone. Sure she studied but she didn’t enjoy it, and she considered Ben a distraction. “Identify all ingredients in a Polyjuice Potion, and find a successful method to make it.” It all sounded so boring really, but she had to do it didn’t she? After all she didn’t want to fail potions, especially during her OWLs. The warmth of his breath his her exposed skin on her neck and she smiled gently to herself, trying not to get distracted by him. “Erm, er, next week I think..” It was defiantly hard trying to keep her hands off of her handsome boyfriend.

Tori Abercrombie was hot, she was smart, she was friendly (well, most of the time). Ben would always hear that from his friends, and each time she came up in conversation, he wanted to yell, perhaps to the whole world, that they were dating and that he loved her. She said that she loved him too. But each time he had this urge, he silenced it, knowing if that he was the one to spread the word around that they were in a relationship, he would lose all credibility with her, and she would school would find her untrustworthy as well. He could wait until whenever she was ready, and that applied to the publicizing of, well, them, as well as her transformation into a vampire. She had as good as promised that it would happen, sometime, but Ben wasn’t going to push the issue. He sure as hell wouldn’t have changed his whole lifestyle, leaving behind his family and friends if it was anyone but Tori. He would ask her again, gently, later in the year. He had time. It was hers that was running out. It didn’t seem like it was going quickly now, when she was only fifteen, but soon enough, time would seem to speed up, running faster and running into itself.
She was so pretty when she laughed, that Ben almost forgot to pay attention to what she was saying. “But I thought, I thought that this was a secret,
” he said in a small voice, “ Because, because,” he continued, stumbling over his words. Because you want to seem available, he wanted to say. Because it was actually kinda dangerous, dating a vampire that had feuds with werewolf families in the school. Though he would protect her, if it came to that. Because your friends would laugh if you said you were involved with that D’eath kid. He felt a little like crying, and he covered his eyes with his wrist, not wanting her to see him weak. And in front of her, he was pathetically weak. Regaining his composure, he flipped open his notes, thumbing the divider labeled ‘P’. Everything anyone would ever want to know about Polyjuice Potion would be in here. “ Well that’s not too bad,” he said in the forced cheerful tone. A sharp pain in his throat reminded him he hadn’t fed since the time Tori caught him and he realized why his emotions were swinging so much. He saw the light pink color of Tori’s cheeks and an incredibly violent scene flashed before his eyes. Nibbling his lip, he had to satisfy himself with his own blood, at least until this study session was over. It was gross, but it would have to do until he could go see Madam Pomfrey. He tentatively stroked her jaw, loving the way her skin yielded to his touch. He just wanted a couple kisses. “ We do have a bit of time then,” he noted, sliding the appropriate section of his notes toward her. The parchment was a bit worn from study, and the ink a bit smeared, but it was all together legible. “ Sorry, you’re kind of distracting me from studying.” He smiled tiredly, wanting to spend as much time as possible with her while wanting to get this over with as soon as possible so he could finally eat. Majority of the time it was difficult to tell if you were in love, you could easily convince yourself you was in love but it could just be a crush that would fade away within time. Something that Victoria wanted was what she and Ben had was to be the real deal, to be able to love him and know that within a couple of months that feelings would fade away and what they would have had would disappear and they’d move on. That was the last thing she wanted, she didn’t want to lose Ben. In simple words – he was everything to her. She didn’t know how she would possibly live without him by her side, guiding her through such a difficult life. One thing she was sure of was that he’d always be there to hold her and comfort her through the dark days. After much thought of the whole spending forever with Ben she had decided that she would do it, and she would tell him this. Probably later, not so soon after all they were in the middle of studying but she wanted to tell him, get it out in the open and see his face when she broke the news to him. Right now, things between them were good and it was only going to get better! That stuck up cow Amelia was out of the way, so she didn’t have to worry about someone else thinking they could pull Ben from her grasp. The only thing she didn’t want to leave behind was her older brother, Kevin meant a lot to her and he always looked after her and got her out of trouble. If she turned into a vampire she would immediately let him know, even if it killed her to do so, she wasn’t going to keep anything from him especially being a different species.
It was defiantly cute, the way he stumbled over his words, “No, it doesn’t have to be a secret. People can know, I just don’t want any rumours going around or anything like that. That is the last thing I need after my year.” Victoria forced a smile and twirled a strand of blonde hair around her index finger trying to concentrate her thoughts on studying, rather than gazing at Ben. It was taking a lot of strength not to run her hands through his soft brown hair. Sure she’d miss the meaningless flirting with the older handsome Gryffindor boys but she had Ben now, and she was defiantly going to remain loyal no matter what. She would find another way to entertain herself when she felt left out from her flirting peers, after all, she could just flirt with Ben since they were in a relationship now and that seemed pretty wise. Nothing seemed worse than cheating; it would most likely kill him if she cheated on him with another male. Which meant she would have to avoid alcohol altogether, since alcohol messed her actions up a lot and it was easy to push Victoria about when she had alcohol rushing around her body.
A smile appeared onto her face when he commented that she was distracting him, and she was hoping that they would move away from the subject of studying, and do something more entertaining. “Well, I’m glad that my amazing looks are distracting you.”

Love, for vampires, meant forever. And that was forever, not that "till death do us part" stuff. Ben really wanted to spend forever with Tori, he always knew he wanted to. They'd have a few kids, settle down, and be beautiful forever. Isn't that what every girl wanted? Money, a pleasant family, and eternal beauty? Tori wasn't like all girls, Ben figured that out long ago. But wasn't he good enough for her? And what if, for some stupid reason, they were torn apart much before they were supposed to separate, like because of some Hogwarts drama? That would kill him, and, not to be over-dramatic, but he didn't think he could love again if Tori left him. He wouldn't be the one leaving her, that was for sure. Even if she was unfaithful, or bullied him, he would put up with it, because that was what she wanted. If she told this to any of his friends, they would probably laugh and say that he was "so whipped, man" but Ben wasn't ashamed of it, and would probably have to repeat it to Tori millions of times, not that he minded.
He shivered with dread as he thought of Kevin Abercrombie. That guy was scary, for real. He had a dangerous devil-may-care attitude that Ben could never hope to emulate. Ben was always bumbling over his words and actions, super awkward. His mother assured him that he was just growing into himself, whatever that meant. He hoped that someday he could be smooth and confident, trusting in his own abilities, so he could be someone deserving of Tori. "Shall I escort you to some event?
" he said, wincing was he realized how dorky he sounded. He wasn't even sure he wanted to go to some teenage party with tons of booze and skanks. It would be nice to popular, of course, but those just seemed like a headache. He didn't know, of course, having never been to one, but perhaps they were be enjoyable with Tori. " Or perhaps you could visit me at home and we could go dancing. I happen to know how gorgeous you look in formal wear." He was kind of a failure at this whole asking-his-girlfriend-out-on-a-date thing, but he hoped that she would be kind and agree to join him. " Of course you are distracting me," he breathed, feeling a little dizzy in his hunger. " I don't mean to embarrass you, but I don't think that anyone as beautiful as you has ever been in his library." Or on earth, for that matter he wanted to add, but that was probably overdoing it. He leaned in slightly, planting a light kiss on her cheek. The smell radiating off of her was delectable, and he just wanted to nibble at her lips and taste her blood. He played with her hair, braiding a skinny plait with his deft white fingers. " I feel bad for being such a terrible study buddy" he murmured. He actually wasn't sorry. This, being in the quiet library with his girlfriend, was probably better than anything. Except kissing her. But he would let her initiate, this time. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Normally she wasn’t one to blow others off when it came to meeting up, but she would defiantly blow her friends off for a nice quiet night with her boyfriend. Sure it was the beginning of the relationship and it wasn’t completely sure if they’d last longer than a few months but since she didn’t know if they’d last forever or split up, she may as well enjoy her time with him right? All the study sessions, romantic dates and pointless hanging out would mean everything to Victoria; of course her friends wouldn’t be too pleased with her. In her mind, her friends would have to live with her choices to spend more time with Ben since he did make her happy, and hopefully her friends would be pleased that Ben was making their blond friend happy but one wrong move could end up losing her friends. When he suggested escorting her to an social event she giggled slightly, “Yes, you may escort me but I’d rather spend a romantic night with you than get drunk with my girls.” It was an odd thing to hear from Victoria, but it was true! She’d miss one night out to see Ben.
“Anything would be nice, as long as I’m with you I’d enjoy whatever we was doing.” Tori smiled and remember the Halloween ball and her amazing blue cocktail dress that complimented her figure. She wouldn’t mind another formal event; she quite liked picking out dresses and shoes for events. Once again Victoria smiled and blushed slightly, “Why thank you Ben,” Of course she had heard it a lot before but she preferred it when he said it, because then it meant something. “Well, I don’t mind if we don’t study really I can study on my own later in the evening this week or something.” Surely she shouldn’t be encouraging herself and him not to study, especially during an important year!

He realized, probably very late, that Tori was much too far away from him. She was only sitting a few feet to his left, but they were dating, after all, and it was no fun if he had to act like she was just some stranger than he found attractive. Reaching around her waist, he pulled her into his lap, tilting her head back so that it rested on his shoulder. He could feel her heart beating against his chest, and he could hear the swish of her blood in her neck. Continuing to braid her blond hair, he absently hummed a slow song, almost a lullaby. He had learned to braid thanks to his little sister, Eleanora. Ben only called her Nora. She was not even a year younger than he was, but he babied her constantly because she was so naive and fragile. She knew about his love for Tori, and supported him. He didn’t want her to be jealous of the amount of time he was spending with the Gryffindor, and he doubted they could become close friends. They were in the same year, but Tori’s personality was much more forceful and dynamic.
Curving his neck slightly and angling his lips close to her ear, he whispered, “Who said anything about romantic?
” Leaning back, he chuckled slightly. Ben didn’t know how to be anything less than gentlemanly, and he would never pressure Tori into anything she didn’t want to do, be it turning into a vampire or sex. Of course he wasn’t necessarily proud of his virgin status, but he wasn’t in a rush to get rid of it. The reins where in her hands, and she could steer this relationship wherever she wanted it to go. “ How do you know that I don’t want to get drunk with your girls?” he joked. He had become a bit of a heavy drinker during the days that Tori wouldn’t talk to him, but it was all very classy and un-sleazy. He knew that her friends liked to “have a good time” and he felt a hand of ice clench his heart. What if Tori would get drunk and follow her friends footsteps in being a complete whore? He felt the intense need to supervise her at every party now, if all possible. He hesitated, and shifted himself so that he was looking into her face. “ Or, I might stay at Hogwarts this winter. I hear that they’re having a masquerade ball.” It would really mean a lot to him if Tori said she would go with him, after the disaster at the Halloween Ball, he just wanted a chance to show her off and be together as a real couple. “ Would you go with me?” He kissed her cheek, running his fingers through her hair. He didn’t think that she would say no, but it was never good to take these things for granted. “ Well, if you’re sure,” he faltered, leaning forward and sliding the notes on the Polyjuice Potion toward them. He was conflicted. The study freak inside him wanted both her and him to succeed academically, but the teenage boy wanted to make out with his girlfriend. Resigning himself to his hormones, he placed his hand on the back of her head, bringing it slightly closer to his, and pressed his lips gently against hers. It felt delicious, and he was sad that he had waited so long before kissing her tonight. Many people knew of the Abercrombie family, mostly because of their sour temper and easy going nature. No one messed with Victoria or Kevin, after all a lot of people had seen what could happen if you pressed her buttons a lot and drove her to the point of losing her temper and it never ended happily for anyone. Normally she wasn’t the type of person to resort to violence but half the time she just pilled up her emotions and it always ended up her losing her temper with someone who was getting on her nervous. Although her losing her temper at the Halloween ball showed that she wasn’t going to allow anyone to take her boyfriend away from her, and any female that tried it on with him wouldn’t be coming out alive at all. Within seconds Victoria felt his arm wrap around her waist and she pulled roughly into his lap but like always, she just went with the flow and got comfortable in his lap and nuzzled her head into his shoulder and closed her eyes. It was such a familiar situation, and it reminded her of all the good and bad memories that she had with Ben D’eath, from the time they first confessed their feelings for one another and the time when she caught him feeding in the shadows near the hospital wing. After a few weeks, she felt like she was getting use to his species, or whatever you called it. Victoria now trusted him, she knew he wouldn’t kill her for her blood, he loved her to much to kill her and fill his own thirst and let her go.
Victoria shivered slightly when she felt his words slip into her ear and she smiled slightly, “Well, I don’t care if it isn’t romantic. I just want to spend time with you but it would be nice if it was romantic, like our first date by the black lake.” A small smile fell on her lips when she remembered their first date, the small picnic and all the small details that were so clear in her mind. She even remembered the moment he pushed her away when things got a bit to hot for both of them to handle, and it still hurt her even though it was a while back now. When he mentioned getting drunk she looked at him and frowned, “Oh, erm, I didn’t think you was the type to want to get drunk or anything? And I didn’t think you would want to hang around with my friends.” Sure it was harsh, but she didn’t think he would want to get pissed around her friends.
Then the masquerade ball was mentioned and she felt rather excited, they were her favourite formal event. “Oh I love masquerade balls! It would be a pleasure to go with you.” She had to go, after all, Victoria Abercrombie didn’t miss one event. In the back of her mind she was already planning how to have her long blonde hair and what dress she was going to wear. Maybe a black dress? It would defiantly be quite short, as she enjoyed showing off her legs.

It was a good feeling, her in his lap, wrapped his arms around her tiny frame. She was emanating heat, and the scent of her blood, and he knew that he was reckless and dangerous but she made him act like that. She was challenging and she was mean sometimes, it was a given. But he liked how she pushed him out of himself, because he was pretty boring. His idea of of fun Saturday night was doing some extra-curricular reading on Arithmancy. Or Ancient Runes. She was wild, that much was certain. Usually it didn’t show, like now in the library, but when she was angry, it was apparent. He cringed slightly as he thought of Mia’s hair being torn out by the roots by Tori’s vengeful hands, and Mia’s tears. He was grateful that he and his best female friend had reconciled, even if they both knew that there would be some tension where Tori was concerned. But she had shared the secret of her arranged marriage with him, and that was some trust. He pressed his cool cheek against her warm one, rocking slightly back and forth. This reminded him of the time in the library when he admitted he liked her, and they agreed to go on at date - though they didn’t call it that then. She had basically fallen asleep, she was so exhausted.
He felt her shiver against him and he held her more tightly, though not constricting. He didn’t want to smother her, although he wanted everyone to know that she was his, and his alone. “Well, maybe we could grab dinner sometime.
” Sneaking off campus wasn’t very hard, but he was sure that he could get permission to go out sometime soon. Hopefully that would be romantic enough for her. He was definitely a romantic as well, but he, well, frankly he was ready to take the relationship to the next level. They hadn’t had sex, though he supposed they could have, by the lake after the Halloween Ball. He was a teenage boy after all, and even more pressing, he was a teenage vampire. He had dreams about sinking his teeth into his lightly tanned skin, drinking her sweet blood. Having never bit a human before, he could not really imagine what it could be like, but his big brother Barclay had told him that it was even better than the blood he could get at the hospital wing. And that, truthfully, was basically a drug. Raising at eyebrow at her, he said “ Are you doubting my party-boy habits?” He chuckled low in his throat, He wasn’t a party boy, but he did get hooked on drink when Tori wouldn’t talk to him. It was a sad time, and alcohol made him think about that. Still he would do anything for Tori. “ Well, honestly... I’m a bit scared of your friends. ” Seriously, they could fuck him up if they put their minds to it. They were trouble makers, every last one of them. They had bite, too. He didn’t want them to think he was a loser and turn Tori against him or something. It was paranoia, but it seemed completely valid to him. If he lost Tori, he would be shattered. It had happened once, and it couldn’t happen again. “ Then I guess I will do the honors of taking you.” He tapped the side of her head, lightly. “ Now, do you have a kiss for your prince?” Grinning slightly, he leaned forward.
